Our Toddler Program, in partnership with Rainbow Child Development Center, is crafted to nurture the early developmental stages of children aged 1 to 2 years. At this age, toddlers are rapidly exploring their world, and our program is designed to support their growth in a safe and stimulating environment. From social interaction to cognitive development, we offer a holistic approach to learning. Every activity is thoughtfully curated to help toddlers build essential skills while having fun.

How do The Learning Labs support 1 to 2-year-old children in their development?

• Social Development Through daily free play in our developmental centers, toddlers engage in social interactions that enhance their communication skills. Our dramatic play area encourages imagination, helping children navigate the “mine” stage by learning pronouns like “his” and “hers.”
• Emotional Development We provide a nurturing environment that helps toddlers manage separation anxiety, preparing them for future transitions into more structured classroom settings. Regular visits to different classrooms for liberal arts and specialty activities further ease this transition.
• Movement (Gross Motor) Our program includes a variety of dance styles and outdoor activities to promote gross motor development. Morning and afternoon sessions are dedicated to outdoor play, where children can develop physical coordination through sports and play equipment.
• Cognitive Development Using the Abeka curriculum, we introduce toddlers to early Language Arts and Math concepts, fostering a love for learning and collaboration between parents and educators to nurture well-rounded individuals.
• Language Development Activities like show-and-tell boost toddlers’ vocabulary and oral communication. We emphasize the importance of using words for problem-solving, encouraging children to articulate their needs and resolve conflicts verbally.
• Hand and Finger Skills (Fine Motor) Our creative arts program helps toddlers develop fine motor skills, such as using scissors, tracing, and writing their names, essential for their overall growth.
• Potty Training We support potty training with positive reinforcement and patience, beginning at 24 months. Our approach transitions children from pull-ups to wearing “big boy and big girl” underwear, fostering independence and confidence.
